This is a notice to all subscribers and visitors to the site that Mystic Anomaly is being updated into The Anomalous Press.
Changes:
1. A new Disclaimer page will be added.
2. A new About page will be added.
3. One single author identity will no longer be used for all writing. The site will now publish through four distinct author identities (pen names). Each is tied to a specific writing lane.
Why the site is changing
Mystic Anomaly began as a single umbrella for many types of writing. Over time, it became clear that academic exploration, practical wellbeing guidance, creative writing and personal reflection each require different boundaries, tone and reader expectations. The Anomalous Press exists to keep those lanes clear and trustworthy, especially when the subject matter includes trauma, wellbeing and lived experience.
The spirit of inquiry remains the same. The framework is now more organised, grounded, and easier to navigate.
The four author identities under The Anomalous Press
1) Anoma Katse: Holistic life coaching and wellbeing writing
Anoma Katse is the author identity for life coaching, wellbeing and practical everyday living posts. This pen name continues the practical spiritual and mystical interests that have appeared on the site in the past, while keeping the focus grounded and usable. The emphasis is on clear strategies that support everyday functioning, self-regulation and stability.
Content under Anoma Katse also aims to share practical ways of living that support the sensory needs of neurodivergent people and highly sensitive individuals with an approach that stays plain-spoken, educational and free from influencer-style “woo” framing. Wellbeing writing under this name is educational and does not replace professional medical or mental health care.
2) Anisha Deon: Academic essays and papers
Anisha Deon is the academic author identity for interdisciplinary writing across psychology, philosophy, consciousness, metaphysics and human experience. This lane focuses on exploration of ideas and theories in a way that remains reasonable and open to revision. The work does not claim absolute truth or final conclusions. The goal is intellectual stimulation, curiosity and thoughtful inquiry across different perspectives and systems.
3) Anomarilius: Creative writing (fiction and poetry)
Anomarilius is the creative author identity for fiction and poetry, with a strong focus on science fiction and fantasy including blended speculative work. This lane exists for creativity that is allowed to be unusual, idea-driven and imaginative without being restricted by academic structure or educational framing.
4) Cryptic Anomaly: Personal writing
Cryptic Anomaly is the personal author identity for behind-the-scenes writing that reflects lived experience and daily life. This lane is intentionally human, direct and honest. The purpose is connection; not instruction. Personal writing may include reflections on real challenges and lived realities including experiences related to low vision, CPTSD, and PMDD while maintaining boundaries that keep the writing true to personal experience.
When two authors appear on one post
Some posts naturally sit in more than one lane. A piece may include practical wellbeing guidance alongside personal context or academic exploration alongside reflections from lived experience. In those cases, two author identities may appear on the same post. This is done to keep the work accurately labelled and to help readers understand the intention and voice behind what is being published.
What readers can expect moving forward
Each post and publication will be easier to follow since the author identity will signal the lane of writing. Readers who prefer one category can stay within it. Readers who enjoy exploring different forms of writing can move between lanes while still knowing what to expect.
Updates will continue as the site structure is refined. The new About page will explain the purpose of the press and the four author identities in detail. The Disclaimer page will outline the educational scope of wellbeing content and the boundaries of responsibility for the site.
Thank you for reading and thank you for staying as the site grows into a clearer structure under The Anomalous Press.
